About SNAP-8

SNAP-8, also known as acetyl octapeptide-3, is a synthetic acetylated peptide containing eight amino-acid residues. It is investigated in cosmetic peptide research, particularly in relation to molecular interactions associated with SNAP-25 and the SNARE protein complex.

SNAP-25 participates in a protein complex with syntaxin and synaptobrevin that supports vesicle fusion and cellular secretion. This process provides the biological context for studying peptides designed to interact with the assembly of the SNARE complex.
